In photography, shutter speed or exposure time is the length of time when the film or digital sensor inside the camera is exposed to light, also when a camera's shutter is open when taking a photograph. The amount of light that reaches the film or image sensor is proportional to the exposure time.
Shutter speed exists because of something known as your camera shutter – which, simply put, is a curtain in front of the camera sensor that stays closed until the camera fires. When the camera fires, the shutter opens and fully exposes the camera sensor to the light that has passed through your lens.
How to choose the right shutter speed?
The average camera speed is usually 1/60. Speeds slower than this are hard to manage as they almost always lead to blurry photographs. The most common shutter speed settings available on cameras are usually 1/500, 1/250, 1/125, 1/60, 1/30, 1/15, 1/8 etc.

Here are some photos with a fast shutter speed:
The fast shutter speed freezes the time and movement.
However, the slow shutter speed shows the movement, giving it a little blur on the background of the main subject.
The light increases as the shutter speed is more slower, so we need to be careful not to make an overexposed photograph.

In the second photo you can see that my arms disappeared because I moved them fast enough and because of the shutter speed.
Here is the photo I took using glitter.
Here are the photos of the ink spreading into the water. I tried to show movement by taking photos of every frame.
I feel like these are my best photos, because It shows every movement that the ink does in the water. I like how the ink spreads into the water creating a "cloud".
The bad thing was that we had to use a lamp, because it was too dark.

Here are the photos with the cone. The first 4 photos are took while the cone was spinning and I froze the movement.
The fifth photo is when the cone was spinning and I used a slow shutter speed.
Then, I took some photos of the wine caps while they were falling. My friend threw something into the wine caps and I took 3 photos trying to show how are they falling one by one.

I think this is my worst photo, because it's not really clear. But, It shows a lot of movement because of the slow shutter speed.

The Photoshoot was not really like I expected. Outside it was too dark, so we had to use lamps which made it harder for us. Also, I did not take photos of all the objects in the room. I only took photos of the ink spreading into the water, the glitter, the cone and the wine caps. But still, some photos are really good and I like them.
